Members of Sweden’s Ahmadiyya Muslim Students’ Association for Women (AMWSA) Granted Honour of Virtual Meeting With Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad
“This is your responsibility: to establish your identity and present the true image of Islam to people, so that they may see the real teachings of Islam.” – Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad
On 8 February 2026, the Worldwide Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, His Holiness Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad (Khalifa), held an online meeting with members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Students’ Association for Women (AMWSA) from Sweden. In total, 82 female students participated in the session.
During the interactive meeting, several attendees were given the opportunity to ask questions on a wide range of spiritual and contemporary issues.
One attendee asked for guidance on how the Ahmadiyya Muslim Students’ Association for Women (AMWSA) should work in the coming years so that members may progress both spiritually and academically.
In response, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad said:
“The duties assigned to men are also for women. Just as the male students’ association is working, you must also work in the same way.
First of all, in whatever field you are studying, whether at university, graduation, post-graduation, or PhD level, you should strive to excel. Make every effort to reach the highest level, so that you gain recognition. When people see your success, they will ask whether you are Muslim. Then you can tell them that you are Muslim and that your faith teaches you to be educated and to strive in the pursuit of knowledge.
The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said that half of religious knowledge should be learnt from Hazrat Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her). This shows the high status he gave to women. You must strive to attain that same status. Acquire religious knowledge alongside worldly education.”
His Holiness continued:
“Then, just as you guide the wider society [towards goodness], you must also guide and train your future generations, your younger siblings, and your surroundings, so that the true message of Islam may reach everywhere. AMWSA should aim to grow in both secular and religious education.
For this, you should also create opportunities for Tabligh (outreach). Even if you do not preach directly, organise seminars on various topics at universities or other venues where non-Muslims can also be invited. These may be on science, history, or other academic subjects. This will attract interest, people will listen, and further dialogue will develop. In this way, you will be introduced to many more people and opportunities for Tabligh will arise.
This is your responsibility: to establish your identity {as Muslim women} and present the true image of Islam to people, so that they may see that the real teachings of Islam.”
One attendee asked about the Qur’anic references to Gog and Magog as a people who spread disorder, and the explanation given by the Promised Messiah (peace be upon him) that Dhul-Qarnayn was a divinely guided reformer who established a spiritual barrier against such corruption.
In light of recent political developments involving Greenland, Denmark, and the United States, she asked how Ahmadis should understand these prophecies in the present age.
In response, His Holiness explained that such global conflicts and power struggles reflect the wider patterns of disorder foretold in Islamic teachings, and that the true response of believers lies in prayer.
Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad said:
“Whether it is the issue of Greenland, Palestine, any other Muslim country, Iran, Ukraine, or any other place, wherever there are efforts to create disorder, the major powers consider themselves to be dominant… The deception that Gog and Magog were to spread is the same as what is referred to as ‘Dajjal’ in the Ahadith. This is the Dajjal. Through deception, they want to dominate the world and establish their supremacy.”
Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad continued by saying:
“Therefore, we should pray that Allah the Almighty protects us from their harm, and we should spread the mission for which the Promised Messiah (peace be upon him) was sent. When we see these developments, our attention should be drawn even more towards expanding our work of preaching, and towards conveying the true teachings of Islam to both Muslims and non-Muslims, so that we may be safeguarded.”
Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad said:
“We must demonstrate the true teachings of Islam through our own conduct, by conveying the message of Islam to people, and by telling them that if they want peace in the world, if they want to be saved from disorder, and if they want to protect themselves and their future generations from destruction, then they must avoid these unjust ways…
You should study the Holy Qur’an and its commentaries. You should pray. Develop a relationship with Allah. These days, I am delivering sermons about the life of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) so that we may act upon it, so that our attention is drawn towards the love of Allah and towards prayer, and so that our deeds may be righteous.”
Another attendee asked how Muslims can protect themselves and remain safe in the event of a Third World War.
In response, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad said:
“Whether someone is Muslim or non-Muslim, when destruction falls, it does not see who is a Muslim and who is not. However, [it is our belief] that those who are true Muslims, and especially Ahmadis, will suffer less harm. The Promised Messiah (peace be upon him) has said regarding wars: ‘There is a fire, but all those shall be saved from this fire who possess love for the God of Great Wonders.’ If you truly love Allah, He will protect you from it.”
His Holiness continued:
“Therefore, we must develop a stronger relationship with Allah so that we may become recipients of His grace. As a Community, Allah will protect us. However, on an individual level, some losses may still occur. That is why we must build our connection with Allah, so that He may protect us. And even if such a situation arises, at the very least, Allah may be pleased with us.”
