Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad Grants Audience to Local Executive Bodies of Canada’s Hamilton and Hamilton Mountain Branches
“Insha’Allah (God willing) should now be Masha’Allah (What God has decreed)! Do not only say ‘insha’Allah.’ Go forward and say ‘Masha’Allah.’” – Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad
On 31 January 2026, the Worldwide Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, His Holiness Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, the Khalifa (Caliph), held a meeting with the local executive bodies of Canada’s Hamilton and Hamilton Mountain branches.
Following a silent prayer, His Holiness invited each member of both executive bodies to introduce themselves and enquired about their roles and responsibilities.
The Secretary of Tabligh from the Hamilton branch, who oversees outreach and the propagation of Islam’s peaceful message, introduced himself and informed His Holiness that leaflets introducing the teachings of Islam had been delivered to more than eighty-seven thousand homes in the local area.
Addressing the Secretary of Isha’at from Hamilton, who is responsible for publications and keeping Community members informed about the Community’s activities, His Holiness asked whether he personally read the literature of the Community.
Upon receiving an affirmative response, His Holiness encouraged him to ensure that other members of the Community also develop the habit of reading the Community’s literature and regularly visiting the official website, Alislam.org.
Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad said:
“Encourage your Jama’at (Local Community) members to read, open and see Alislam.org. They should try to become regular viewers of Alislam and aim to regularly read the books available on the website.”
One attendee introduced himself as the Secretary of Ta‘limul Qur’an and Waqf-e-Ardhi, a role dedicated to encouraging members of the Community to regularly recite and study the Holy Qur’an, as well as promoting participation in the Waqf-e-Ardhi scheme, which allows members to volunteer their time in service to the Community and its members.
In response, His Holiness instructed that each office-bearer present, should actively participate in the Waqf-e-Ardhi scheme and offer their time for the service of the Community. The Secretary assured His Holiness that he would work towards this objective, insha’Allah, God willing.
Regarding this, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad said:
“Insha’Allah (God willing) should now be Masha’Allah (What God has decreed)! Do not only say insha’Allah. Go forward and say Masha’Allah… every amila member [office bearer] should do Waqf-e-Ardhi. In doing so you will have promising and encouraging results. Ask your amila members, first start from your own house.”
After concluding his interaction with the Hamilton branch, His Holiness invited each member of the Hamilton Mountain branch to introduce themselves and outline their respective roles within the local executive body.
Addressing the Local President and General Secretary, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad reminded them of their duty to remain closely connected with members of the Community. His Holiness encouraged that they should continue enquiring about their well-being and maintaining consistent personal contact.
His Holiness further stated that the Secretary of Ta‘lim (Education) bears the responsibility of maintaining an up-to-date record of all members who are currently pursuing formal education.
Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad said:
“You should have a record of members who are currently persuing an education at university, or currently studying in school or college and what they are studying… You should have a personal contact with them and focus on their moral training.”
Whilst speaking to the Secretary of Tarbiyyat of the Hamilton Mountain branch, who is responsible for the moral training of Community members, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad emphasised the importance of offering the five daily prayers in mosques and prayer centres.
His Holiness reminded the Secretary to continue sending messages and reminders that draw upon the Ahadith, the writings of the Promised Messiah (peace be upon him), and the guidance of the Khulafa, so as to strengthen the spiritual and moral development of the Community and reinforce the significance of observing the five daily prayers.
The meeting concluded with group photos, after which His Holiness graciously gifted pens to the attendees.
