Allah the Almighty has rejected every form of idolatry and commanded the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) to proclaim this truth to the world.” – HAZRAT MIRZA MASROOR AHMAD

On 27 February 2026, His Holiness Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad delivered his Friday Sermon from the Mubarak Mosque, in Tilford, United Kingdom.

In today’s sermon, His Holiness continued to speak on the profound love and devotion of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) for Allah the Almighty.

At the outset of his sermon, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad highlighted that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was the supreme proclaimer of the perfect oneness of Allah the Almighty.

His Holiness stated:

“All Prophets were sent to establish the Oneness of God, and they taught this message to their respective nations… The Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) also came with this very message and was commissioned for the same purpose – to instil the true spirit of Tauheed (the Oneness of God) within his followers.

No one can share the unique status granted to the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). When he preached the Oneness of God, it was not a blind assertion, but a message reinforced by divine knowledge and powerful arguments. When he spoke out against shirk [associating partners with God], he did so not without reason; rather, he explained its evils and cultivated a deep aversion to it among his followers. Those who truly followed him demonstrated through their actions that they too were firmly opposed to shirk… There was no question of someone turning away from this message once they had grasped its depth.”

Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad continued:

“The Holy Prophet’s (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) teachings left a lasting impact on his followers because every word he uttered and every deed he performed was a true reflection of the message he conveyed. He embodied in practice every teaching that was revealed to him by Allah.

What concerned him most was the fear that, just as other nations had begun to venerate their prophets to the point of worship, the Muslim Ummah might one day fall into the same grave error. He sought refuge from this possibility – that anyone would ever elevate him to a position alongside Allah. He repeatedly warned against this, advising his followers: never associate him with Allah, and never let their gaze fall upon anyone besides God.”

His Holiness then drew attention to the Holy Qur’an, wherein the Oneness of God is emphasised repeatedly and with profound clarity throughout its verses.

Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad said:

“In the Holy Qur’an, the doctrine of the Oneness of God is expounded repeatedly from various perspectives. Allah the Almighty states in Surah al-Anbiya:

‘And We sent none as Messengers before thee but men to whom We sent revelation.’ (The Holy Qur’an, Chapter 21, Verse 8)

The modes of worship taught to the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and the manner in which he fulfilled the rights of true Tauheed in his worship, are unparalleled and cannot be found in any other faith.”

His Holiness then quoted the following Qur’anic verse, in which the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) is being commanded to safeguard the Oneness of Allah the Almighty.

“Say, ‘Verily I am commanded to worship Allah, being sincere to Him in religion.’” (The Holy Qur’an, Chapter 39, Verse 12)

With regards to this Qur’anic verse, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad said:

“When a true Muslim reflects upon this verse, he is reminded that his worship of Allah the Almighty must be rendered with complete sincerity, so that his faith becomes wholly purified for Him alone…

If we uphold a high standard of worship founded upon the pure establishment of Divine Unity [and Oneness of God], then we can bring about a true spiritual transformation and be granted the ability to become genuine affirmers of the Oneness of God.”

His Holiness then quoted the following chapter of the Holy Qur’an:

“Say, ‘He is Allah, the One; Allah, the Independent and Besought of all. He begets not, nor is He begotten; And there is none like unto Him.’” (The Holy Qur’an, Chapter 112, Verses 2-5)

The aforementioned chapter is amongst the concluding verses of the entire Holy Qur’an, and perfectly summarises the Oneness of Allah the Almighty.

In this regard, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad said:

“[In this chapter], Allah the Almighty has rejected every form of idolatry and commanded the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) to proclaim this truth to the world.

Thus, when his followers recite these verses, it becomes our duty as well to proclaim this pure doctrine of Divine Oneness, and through both our words and our actions demonstrate to the world that Allah alone is One, entirely Self-Sufficient, and that all creation stands in need of Him.

This proclamation strikes at the root of the distorted teachings found in other religions. It is through this declaration that a person truly becomes a servant of Allah. And the most perfect embodiment of this truth was the Messenger of Allah, the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).”

Thereafter, during the remainder of the sermon, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad highlighted the exemplary life of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and the devotion he had to establish the true Oneness of Allah the Almighty throughout his life.

Concluding the sermon, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad prayed:

“Today, the moral and spiritual ills found in the world are the result of mankind’s distance from true belief in the Oneness of God. It is our responsibility to continue proclaiming the message of Tauheed, and wherever we convey this message, we must also strive to bring about a spiritual and moral revolution. Only then can we be counted among those who truly establish Divine Unity in the way of Allah. May Allah the Almighty grant us the ability to do so. Ameen.”
