“I hope that you will strive to act upon what you have learned here and will reorganise your teams and your Waqf-e-Nau afresh. May Allah the Almighty grant you the ability to do so.” – Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad

On 17 and 18 January 2026, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community held the International Waqf-e-Nau Refresher Course at Masroor Hall in Islamabad, UK. The programme brought together Waqf-e-Nau secretaries and members of their teams from across the world. The gathering focused on reviewing responsibilities and strengthening the overall functioning of the Waqf-e-Nau scheme.

The event was honoured by the presence of the Worldwide Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, His Holiness Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, who addressed the participants and offered his guidance.

His Holiness formally launched a new mobile application developed by the Central Waqf-e-Nau department, designed to support the moral training and development of Waqf-e-Nau members around the world.

The participants were also blessed with the opportunity to take group photographs with His Holiness.

After the group photographs, His Holiness delivered a brief address to the participants of the refresher course.

Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad said:

“All of the delegates who have come here should not simply attend the meeting, listen to the lectures, and then return home. Rather, it is imperative that you act upon what you have learned. You must inform the Waqf-e-Nau members of their responsibilities. Some Waqf-e-Nau will formally enter into service of the Community, while others are working independently… With regard the latter, even if the Community does not currently require their services, this does not mean that they are completely free of responsibility. As Waqf-e-Nau, they must understand their obligations.”

Whilst explaining the responsibilities of a Waqf-e-Nau, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad continued by saying:

“Fulfilling the due rights of worship, increasing religious knowledge, acquiring understanding of the Holy Qur’an, and serving the Community are essential responsibilities that you must instil in the minds of every Waqf-e-Nau, and you must do so diligently.”

His Holiness, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad further said: 

“Waqf-e-Nau is not merely a title; it is a bond made even before a child is born, and this bond is later (voluntarily) renewed when the individual reaffirms their commitment to continue fulfilling this pledge.”

Whilst commenting on the benefits of the Waqf-e-Nau conference being held in Islamabad, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad said:

“The many points you are learning here may already be familiar to you, but now is the time to act upon them. There is a need to organise the Waqf-e-Nau. If this team of thousands of Waqf-e-Nau is properly organised, the work of the Community can increase manifold in every country, including  in Tabligh [preaching] and Tarbiyat [moral training] among both men and women. Therefore, give this matter your special attention.”

His Holiness concluded by saying:

“I hope that you will strive to act upon what you have learned here and will reorganise your teams and your Waqf-e-Nau afresh. May Allah the Almighty grant you the ability to do so. Peace be upon you.”

His Holiness led those present in a silent prayer.
