Inspection of Jalsa Salana UK 2023 Takes Place
Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad inspects the arrangements for Jalsa Salana UK and instructs duty workers to serve with a smile on their faces and to exhibit the highest moral standards
The World Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, the Fifth Khalifa, His Holiness, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad conducted an inspection for the arrangements of the 57th Annual Convention (Jalsa Salana) of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in the United Kingdom on Sunday, 23 July 2023.
During the inspection, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad visited the various departments tasked with organising and running the three-day event. His Holiness was briefed on the arrangements and he gave directions to ensure the comfort and well-being of the participants.
His Holiness visited the langhar khana (kitchen) and roti plant where food is being prepared to feed the more than 40,000 attendees expected to attend the Jalsa Salana. His Holiness also visited the newly installed on-site butchery. His Holiness directed that appropriate hygiene and health and safety regulations must be adhered to at all times.
His Holiness also graciously visited various other departments, including the on-site set-up of MTA International.
Furthermore, His Holiness inspected the preparations of Lajna Imaillah UK (Women’s Auxiliary Organisation) and gave instructions to their senior duty workers.
Throughout the inspection, His Holiness affectionately offered encouragement to the duty workers, young and old.
Later, His Holiness briefly directly addressed several thousand volunteers in attendance and advised them to conduct their duties with diligence, to be regular in prayer and to display the best possible manners at all times. His Holiness reiterated his instructions, given during his previous Friday Sermon, that the volunteers and duty workers should endeavour to keep a smile on their faces at all times.
Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad said:
“With the Grace of Allah, all of the Jalsa volunteers and duty workers now understand their responsibilities very well. The experienced workers are training the younger and newer members and the children are very eager to learn and serve.”
Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad continued:
“Whilst offering duties, every duty worker, whether senior or junior, must continue to keep a smile on their faces, as I mentioned in my Friday Sermon. Always remember that you must continually manifest the highest moral standards and manners and continually focus on offering prayers. Continually remain engaged in the remembrance of Allah the Almighty. May Allah the Almighty enable all of you to fulfil your duties in an outstanding fashion. Ameen.”
Earlier, His Holiness also inspected Jalsa Salana arrangements made at the Islamabad complex in Tilford and the premises of Jamia Ahmadiyya UK in Haslemere.
The Jalsa Salana will begin on Friday when His Holiness will deliver his weekly Friday Sermon at the event. Thereafter, His Holiness will give four further addresses during the course of the weekend.
On Sunday, thousands of Ahmadi Muslims will take a pledge of allegiance, known as the Bai’at, at the hand of the Khalifa (Caliph).
Various exhibitions run by Makhzan-e-Tasaweer, The Review of Religions, Press & Media, Islamic Outreach (Tabligh), Al-Hakam, Humanity First amongst others will be returning.
The entire proceedings will be broadcast and live-streamed worldwide on MTA International.
