Earlier today, a message from Hazrat Khalifatul Masih V (aba), Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad was delivered by the Private Secretary to Hazrat Khalifatul Masih V (aba) informing members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community about the health of His Holiness following a recent fall.

The injury meant that His Holiness could not deliver the weekly Friday Sermon which is normally broadcast live on MTA International. The message from Hazrat Khalifatul Masih V (aba) read out by the Private Secretary, was followed by a medical report regarding His Holiness’ health and both were aired on MTA International.

In His Holiness’ message for the members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad said:

“It is with regret that today I will not be able to deliver the Friday Sermon. This is because in the last few days, as I was walking in the courtyard of my home, my foot stumbled on a mat and I slipped. As a result, I fell on a hard surface sustaining considerable injury to my nose and forehead. It is therefore difficult to deliver the Friday Sermon. Further, the doctor has advised to take some rest. Pray that Allah the Almighty grants complete recovery so that I may be enabled, God willing, to deliver the Friday Sermon next week.”

His Holiness urged Ahmadi Muslims around the world to increase their worship and prayers during the final days of the blessed month of Ramadan.

In particular, His Holiness spoke of the persecution faced by Ahmadi Muslims in Pakistan and noted how recently there had been an increase in the spreading of hate and misinformation both on television and social media targeting Ahmadi Muslims.

In his message, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad said:

“In Pakistan nowadays politicians and the media have greatly intensified their opposition and enmity to the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community. They are playing politics on the name of Allah the Almighty and His Messenger, the Seal of the Prophets, the Holy Prophet Muhammad, may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him. Ahmadi Muslims are especially being made the targets and the focus of this opposition. May Allah the Almighty protect the entire country and the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community from the harmful repercussions of these political games.”

Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad further stated:

“Nevertheless, it is our duty to respond to these attacks with prayers and by submitting before Allah the Almighty. During these last ten days of Ramadan, bow down in supplication before Allah the Almighty to an even greater extent than before. Pray to and beseech Allah the Almighty with humility that He may grant you His mercy and grace. May Allah the Almighty enable every Ahmadi Muslim to act upon this, Ameen.”

Following the message, a medical report regarding the injuries was presented which highlighted that by the Grace of Allah the Almighty the injuries which were sustained to the knees and the forehead were “all superficial and there was no deep injury.” A complete recovery is expected, and His Holiness can move around without much pain according to the report.

May Allah the Almighty grant Hazrat Khalifatul Masih V (aba) a full and speedy recovery and grant him a long and healthy life. Ameen.
