Head of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Arrives in United States
Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad greeted by 2,000 Ahmadi Muslims
The World Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, the Fifth Khalifa (Caliph), His Holiness, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad arrived at the Baitur Rahman Mosque in Silver Spring, Maryland late evening on 15 October 2018. His Holiness was greeted by around 2,000 Ahmadi Muslims, who had congregated at the national headquarters of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community USA, to welcome their spiritual leader to the United States.
The Ahmadi Muslims were overcome with joy as they welcomed His Holiness, as he began his fourth visit to United States since being elected as Caliph in 2003. His previous visits to the United States were in 2008, 2012 and 2013.
His Holiness arrived in the United States after travelling directly from London. After arriving at the Baitur Rahman Mosque at 10.35pm local time, His Holiness led the Maghreb and Isha prayers.
Thereafter, on 16 October 2018, His Holiness conducted an inspection of the Baitur Rahman premises. His Holiness also inspected MTA International’s Masroor Teleport which has been recently redeveloped and led a silent prayer.
During the inspection, His Holiness also visited the administrative offices at Baitur Rahman and the kitchen (langhar khana). His Holiness also met with volunteers performing various duties during his tour.
During his visit to the United States, His Holiness is due to inaugurate 3 Mosques, meet local dignitaries and officials, as well as meet personally with hundreds of Ahmadi Muslims.
