Jalsa Salana Germany 2018 Concludes with a Faith Inspiring Address
More than 39,000 people from 99 countries attend three-day religious convention in Karlsruhe
The World Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, the Fifth Khalifa (Caliph), His Holiness, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad concluded the 43rd Annual Convention (Jalsa Salana) of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in Germany on 9 September 2018 with an inspirational address.
During the address, His Holiness spoke of the continued fulfilment of the prophecies of the Founder of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad of Qadian (peace be upon him) regarding the spread of Islam Ahmadiyyat.
His Holiness also narrated inspirational incidents from the past year of people from across the globe who had joined the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community after having witnessed Divine signs in the form of the fulfilment of prayers or dreams.
His Holiness stated that the Holy Quran made it clear that the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was the ‘Seal of all the Prophets’and that no prophet could come after him with a new Shariah.
However, according to the prophecies of the Holy Quran and the Prophet of Islam (peace and blessings be upon him), the coming of the Promised Messiah and Imam Mahdi was destined.
Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad said:
“God Almighty promised that He will send the Promised Messiah and Imam Mahdi in the latter days with the status of a non-law-bearing and subservient prophet in complete servitude to the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him).”
In accordance with the prophecy, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad said that the Founder of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (peace be upon him), was sent by God Almighty as the Promised Messiah and Imam Mahdi.
Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad said:
“Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad of Qadian (peace be upon him) presented the original and pristine teachings of the Holy Quran to the world and that message has spread to the corners of the world. Following his demise, his Community has continued to spread under the leadership of Khilafat-e-Ahmadiyya.”
Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad continued:
“The objective of the Promised Messiah (peace be upon him) was to shine a light on the true and original teachings of Islam and to complete the task of spreading the perfect teachings of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) to all parts of the world.”
Reflecting upon the message the Promised Messiah (peace be upon him) delivered to the Muslim world, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad said:
“The Promised Messiah (peace be upon him) urged all Muslims to pay heed to the message of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). Regrettably, the majority of the Muslim world has failed to heed his call and are following so-called religious clerics who, rather than bringing people towards Allah the Almighty and his noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), are taking them far away.”
Nevertheless, in spite of the opposition it faced, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad said that the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community continued to go from strength to strength.
Despite persistent efforts to halt its progress, hundreds of thousands of righteous people from across the world were joining the fold of the Promised Messiah (peace be upon him) each year.
Thereafter, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad quoted numerous faith inspiring incidents of people who had accepted the truth of the Promised Messiah (peace be upon him).
His Holiness mentioned an incident that took place in Ghana where over 90 people converted to the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community upon witnessing the fulfilment of a dream seen by an elderly woman.
Three Ahmadi Muslims went to her village and told the local people about Islam and taught them how to pray. When the woman observed this, she said she had seen a dream seven years before in which three preachers came to teach people about Islam and the way to pray. Upon seeing her dream come true, she, her family, and dozens of other people from her village joined the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community.
Referring to the incident, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad said:
“Through the Grace of Allah, a community was established in her village. Can anyone say that this is the result of any human power, that Allah the Almighty shows a dream to an elderly woman, who is not even a Muslim, and lives in a remote area of Africa and the dream is fulfilled seven years later?”
Another incident narrated by His Holiness took place in Burkina Faso. A Missionary of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community went to a village to tell them about the peaceful teachings of Islam. However, at the time he did not receive a favourable response. Nonetheless, the Missionary asked the local people to come and meet him if they ever came to his city.
Later one person from the village did visit the Missionary and when he saw the Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community on MTA International, he recalled that he had already seen His Holiness in a dream and immediately decided to convert to the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community.
Concluding his address, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad said:
“Allah the Almighty manifests hundreds of thousands of signs of the truthfulness of the Promised Messiah (peace be upon him) every year. Despite this, our opponents tell us that we are senseless and call on us to leave the one who has claimed to be the Promised Messiah. Yet senseless are those very so-called scholars and those people who, instead of fearing Allah the Almighty, fear the very clerics who have distorted the teachings of Islam.”
Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad continued:
“We, Ahmadi Muslims, will never forsake our efforts to spread the true and peaceful teachings of Islam throughout the world. This is our duty and this is our mission and so every Ahmadi Muslim must strive towards this and must bow down in prayer beseeching the Help of Allah the Almighty. Above all else, it is incumbent upon us to demonstrate the beauty of Islam by manifesting the highest moral examples for the world to see. May Allah enable you to do so. Ameen.”
Earlier in the day, over 39,000 Ahmadi Muslims attending the event in Karlsruhe took part in an emotional pledge of allegiance (Bai’at) at the hand of the Fifth Successor to the Promised Messiah (peace be upon him). During the ceremony, a number of people took the pledge for the very first time.
At the same time, Ahmadi Muslims around the world also took part by viewing the proceedings live on MTA International.
