Muslim Leader Arrives in New Zealand

Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad has travelled to inaugurate the Baitul Muqeet Mosque in Auckland

The World Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat and Fifth Khalifa, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad arrived in Auckland, New Zealand late afternoon on 28 October 13 following a successful four week tour of Australia.

The Khalifa has travelled to New Zealand to inaugurate the Baitul Muqeet Mosque in Auckland and to deliver the keynote addresses at the 25th Jalsa Salana of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat in New Zealand which begins Friday, 1st November 2013.

After arriving at Auckland Airport at 5pm local time, His Holiness was welcomed by various officials of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat in New Zealand, including the National President Mr Mohammed Iqbal.

At 8.30pm Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad travelled to the Baitul Muqeet Mosque where he was greeted by hundreds of Ahmadi Muslim men, women and children all overjoyed at seeing their spiritual leader. After leading the Maghreb and Isha prayers, His Holiness conducted a brief tour of the new Mosque.

Earlier in the day, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad departed from the Baitul Huda Mosque in Sydney where hundreds of Ahmadi Muslims had gathered to wave farewell to their spiritual leader.
