Head of Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at Continues Tour of USA

The tour of Hadhrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, the World Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat, to the United States reached Dayton, Ohio on 18 June 2012. Following a successful and blessed visit to Chicago, His Holiness proceeded directly to Dayton where he visited the Fazl-i-Umar Mosque.

Upon arriving at 8.15pm, His Holiness was greeted by hundreds of Ahmadi Muslim men, women and children. Many of the local Ahmadi Muslims, who are Afro-American, were visibly moved upon seeing their world leader. Some were in tears, whilst others recited poems in thanks to God Almighty.

The Fazl-i-Umar Mosque is the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community’s oldest purpose built mosque in the USA, having been inaugurated in 1964. Recently a major extension and renovation of the complex was completed and His Holiness inspected the building and unveiled a plaque to mark his visit.

After visiting the residence of the local Missionary, a reception welcoming His Holiness was held by the local Ahmadiyya Muslim Community. During this period a number of local Ahmadis took the opportunity to introduce themselves to His Holiness.

Before concluding his visit, His Holiness led the Maghreb and Isha prayers.
