The Ahmadi Muslims in attendance were all overcome with emotion as they saw His Holiness who is currently on his second tour of the United States since being elected as Khalifa in 2003. After arriving, His Holiness led the assembled Ahmadi Muslims in the Maghreb and Isha prayers.

Earlier in the day, His Holiness departed from Columbus, Ohio and proceeded directly to Pittsburgh where he prayed at the graves of a number of Ahmadi Muslims buried at the local cemetery, including at the grave of Mirza Munawar Ahmad, an Ahmadi Missionary, posted to the city in the 1940’s.

At 2pm, His Holiness arrived at the Nur Mosque in Pittsburgh, where dozens of Ahmadis had gathered to greet the Khalifa. Thereafter His Holiness met with the local Ahmadis, many of whom were Afro-American. In turn the Ahmadis took the opportunity to seek the prayers and counsel of His Holiness.
