Humanity First UK Have Honour of A Meeting With Head of The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community
“Convey to others that we should serve humanity, and Humanity First is one of the means for serving humanity.” – Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad
On 2 November 2025, the World Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, the Fifth Khalifa (Caliph), His Holiness, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, granted an audience to executive members and team representatives of Humanity First UK, a charity established by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community that provides humanitarian relief and development aid across the world.
His Holiness presided the meeting from MTA Studios in Islamabad, Tilford.
During the meeting, members introduced themselves and highlighted their roles and objectives. His Holiness also enquired about their work, including international projects, and offered guidance on various aspects of the charity’s operations.
During the meeting, attendees also had the opportunity to seek the guidance and counsel of His Holiness on various matters.
The Humanity First team conveyed a question from their team lead in Gaza, who asked for His Holiness’ views on Gaza’s future.
His Holiness noted that atrocities in Gaza appear likely to continue in the near future, advising the team members to continue their work in the region as best they can.
His Holiness prayed:
“May Allah grant them (Humanity First team in Gaza) the strength to carry out their work effectively, and may Allah the Almighty protect them, for they are operating under extremely dangerous conditions. I do not foresee them to have any respite in the near future”.
Another attendee mentioned that during visits to developing countries for humanitarian work, the team often observes remarkable contentment among adults and children alike, even in disaster-stricken areas.
His Holiness explained that such satisfaction and contentment stem from their faith, serving as a reflection of their strong belief in God. His Holiness said that if one feels inspired by their steadfastness, they should increase their financial contributions to support them and share these uplifting examples with others. His Holiness added that although these people live in poverty, they do not raise any outcry, whereas others often find it difficult to pass a day without unnecessary spending. His Holiness said their faith and spirit should serve as a means to strengthen one’s own resolve and faith in God Almighty.
One attendee referred to an Arabic prophecy of the Promised Messiah (peace be upon him), which translates as: “You are the revered Messiah whose time is not wasted.” He asked His Holiness what lessons Humanity First could draw from this revelation, citing the importance of prioritising limited resources, delegating responsibilities effectively, and making efficient use of time.
Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad stated:
“You are already utilising your minimum resources for the benefit of people, for the service of human beings. You can also teach other people, other Ahmadis, that we should serve humanity, and Humanity First is one of the sources for serving humanity, so you should contribute to Humanity First. The Promised Messiah’s (peace be upon him) revelation is, ‘You are the Messiah whose time will not be wasted’; here, it is not a matter of time, it is a matter of service. There is also a revelation of the Promised Messiah (peace be upon him) that ‘I have come for the service of mankind’ (Khidmat-e-Khalq). Thus, you should teach and tell people that being an Ahmadi Muslim means you should sacrifice more for the betterment of poor and deprived people. So, this is how you can increase the level of their sacrifice.”
Towards the end of the meeting, one individual asked His Holiness what role women should play in the natural disaster response team, and what training Humanity First should provide to prepare them for this.
Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad stated:
“You should send groups of women for service. During disaster responses, there are situations where women need assistance that men cannot provide, and only women can meet their needs. If there are courageous women they may be appointed as group leaders. In addition, everyone should receive training. You should have teams trained in how to operate during disaster relief, how to manage the work, and what the needs of people are. They should also possess courage, alongside skill and expertise… Be mindful that whichever group is sent on a mission, they should go together and include some older, experienced, and mature women in the team.”
