Head of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community condemns ‘utterly barbaric’ Manchester terror attack

Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad says attack “completely opposed to the teachings of Islam”

The World Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, the Fifth Khalifa (Caliph), His Holiness, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad has categorically condemned Monday’s terrorist attack in Manchester.

Speaking, during his weekly Friday Sermon, delivered from the Baitul Futuh Mosque in London, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad deemed the attacks to be in complete violation of Islam’s teachings and beliefs.

Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad said:

“Earlier this week, 22 innocent people, including young children were brutally and senselessly murdered in Manchester. This was an utterly barbaric act and such heinous acts are completely opposed to the teachings of Islam. As Muslims, we are devastated and grief-stricken by this attack and condemn it in the strongest possible terms.”

Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad continued:

“It is a source of immense grief for any true Muslim to hear that innocent people are being murdered at the hands of Muslims and that there are Muslims causing such devastation and destruction in the name of Islam.”

Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad prayed for the victims and said:

“May Allah have mercy upon all the victims and those that have been left bereaved and may the cruelties of those people who are carrying out these atrocities in the name of Islam come to an end.”
