Later today, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad will lead Eid prayers

On 29 July 2014, the World Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, the Fifth Khalifa, His Holiness, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, addressed members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community from the Fazl Mosque in London on the final day of this year’s month of Ramadan.

His Holiness delivered a commentary of the final four chapters of the Holy Quran (Darsul Quran) before leading the assembled Ahmadi Muslims and viewers across the world in a collective prayer.

Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad noted that during the month of Ramadan each day scholars had delivered a commentary of one part of the Quran and so in this way the entire holy book had been covered during the blessed month. His Holiness said that all Ahmadi Muslims should strive to continue to learn the true meanings of the Quran throughout the year.

The Khalifa also commented on the latest incident of persecution of members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community wherein 2 days earlier 3 Ahmadi Muslims were martyred in Gujranwala, Pakistan. His Holiness said that the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community bore each and every trial with patience knowing that such sacrifices would be rewarded by God Almighty.

His Holiness concluded by asking the Ahmadi Muslims to join him in praying for peace in the world. He said that the Muslim Ummah(Community) had become divided and conflict-ridden and so he prayed that they may be rightly guided towards the true and peaceful teachings of Islam as taught by the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). His Holiness also prayed for all members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community worldwide.

Later today, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad will lead the Eid-ul-Fitr prayers from the Baitul Futuh Mosque in London before delivering his Eid Sermon. The entire proceedings will be broadcast live on MTA International.
